The meteorological department’s advisories for Saturday-Sunday night highlighted the likelihood of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, hailstorms, and light to moderate rainfall with gusty winds at isolated places over Nagpur, Chandrapur, Amravati, Wardha, and Yavatmal districts of Vidarbha. Additionally, a specific warning was issued for hailstorm and thunderstorm at isolated places over Gadchiroli, with only a hail warning for Chandrapur and Nagpur.

Looking beyond the immediate vicinity, the all-India weather bulletin predicts isolated to scattered light rainfall activity over east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha between February 10 and 13. Furthermore, the influence of a lower level trough in easterlies along the west coast is expected to bring rainfall over south Uttar Pradesh, south Bihar, Jharkhand, and Gangetic West Bengal from February 12 to 14. This weather pattern is likely due to the east-northeastward movement of the trough.
