112 Contacts of 3 patients with COVID-19 quarantined in Nagpur
Nagpur:- On Monday confirmed 3 new positive cases of coronavirus, after which at least 112 who came into contact with them were quarantined. The new cases have emerged from the Momeenpura and Satranjipura regions of Nagpur, after which the district administration, with the help of police, tracked down and quarantined those who came into contact with the infected. Of the 3 recent incidents, 2 are women and one is a one-and-a-half-year-old child.
Momeenpura and Satranjipura regions are both Nagpur’s coronavirus hotspots and have been sealed by municipal district corporation. The 112 people tracked are now under 14 quarantined and will be screened for coronavirus once they have completed quarantine. Nagpur currently has 127 successful cases out of which 23 recovered while one succumbed.
72 new COVID-19 patients were registered in another Maharashtra district of Thane on Sunday, bringing confirmed cases toll to 687, officials said. Most of the new patients are from the areas of Thane District, Kalyan Dombivali, Mira Bhayandar, and Navi Mumbai. An increase of nine positive cases of coronavirus in Palghar has brought the number to 138. 19 people have died in Thane as a result of the infection so far, while 10 have died in Palghar district, the officials said. In Thane city there are 226 positive cases, in Mira Bhayandar 146, in Navi Mumbai 132, in Kalyan Dombivali 129, they said.
In the meantime, cases of Maharashtra coronavirus have risen to 8,068, including 342 deaths, with 1076 recovering.
