Only after acquiring PoK will Kashmir become unified: Athawale

Nagpur: Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale reiterated on Monday Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the NDA government’s commitment to recapture Pak-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) for fulfilling the vision of reuniting the troubled state in a real sense.

Athawale was in town to pay tribute to Ambedkarite veteran Sadanand Fulzele who passed away on Sunday.

Alert the Madhya Pradesh-style rebellion Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government where Jyotiraditya Scindia left Congress and joined BJP, the minister said there was every possibility of a jolt during which chief minister Uddhav Thackeray will join hands with his old ally BJP and’ Mahayuti (mega alliance)’ who also had RPI, would regain power in Maharashtra, too.

Athawale, who was recently renominated by BJP for the Rajya Sabha, said after repealing Article 370, the Modi government succeeded in restoring normalcy in Jammu and Kashmir.

“The government also released the former CM Farooq Abdullah and attempted to grant Kashmir statehood status, which last year was split into two territories of the Union.

Nevertheless, before PoK is combined with it the state may not be unified in a true sense. This section has developed into a sanctuary of terrorists headquartered with organizations like Jaish-E-Mohammed and others, “he said.

Flaying Uddhav for functioning under the congress and NCP diktat, the minister told him that his father Balasaheb Thackeray had never compromised his life with principles. “I would ask the CM not to engage in revenge politics by changing the BJP Government’s decisions.

When all those decisions were made, Shiv Sena was very much part of the earlier government. Ex-CM Devendra Fadnavis did not change the successful projects of the Congress-NCP government. “Speaking of the MP crisis, Athawale said the BJP never tricked Scindia into joining its ranks, but he himself joined it gladly after Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul had injustified him.

“The MP speaker had given CM Kamal Nath time to prove majority until March 26. In Maharashtra, the court had given Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar only one day for the same, otherwise, they could have proved the power, “he said.

In his video clip on viral coronavirus, the minister said he had raised the topic for the first time and generated awareness even as some people made fun of it. “Since coronavirus has contributed to a very severe global crisis, the people should take precautions.

Both the Center and the state are working hard to curb their spread by shutting down all commercial establishments such as malls and theaters, “he said.

Regarding comments on Brahmins Athawale, Flays Raut said Dr. Ambedkar was never against Brahmins, but against their policy of oppression against the lower caste at the time. “The messiah married a Brahmin girl for the poor and had many Brahmins in his ranks battling oppression.

Raut may have tried to condemn BJP but it’s no longer a party of Brahmins. This contains members from all castes, as well as minorities. He is my friend (Raut) but he never predicted such reckless remarks from him. The CM needs to take care of that, “he said.
