NMC plans to ban entry, exit from town in lockdown of 15 days
Nagpur:- In addition to shutting down even important businesses such as groceries and vegetables, Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is reportedly preparing to limit all movement of people into or out of the city during the planned 15-day full curfew lock-out. The civic body, along with the police department and other government departments from Monday, is likely to begin preparing for this.
In the meeting on Saturday, NMC sources told Municipal Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe about his decision to ban people from entering the city and also exiting people from the city during the full lockdown in front of home minister Anil Deshmukh and guardian minister Nitin Raut.
“Mundhe said full curfew lockdown for containing Covid-19 spread would only succeed with a ban on people going into and out of the area. The ministers asked Mundhe and police department to hammer out information, “sources said.
