Cantonment hospital in Kamptee expects test kits for Covid-19
Nagpur:- Two more people living in the Military Engineering Services (MES) quarters in Kamptee cantonment tested Covid positively on Monday, after a woman employee. Those include his aunt and a staffer. They were sent to the Waregaon near Kamptee Covid treatment centre.
Sources said samples were sent for testing from a further 15-20 people living in the quarters. Apart from that, last week nearly 20 army personnel were still undergoing care at the military hospital, with almost the same number already being cured.
The individual who tested positive said his wife had a fever initially and was taken to a private Kamptee hospital. If they were in question, the doctor told them to have a Covid test performed. “We went for the tests straight away, and were found positive,” he said.
For the uniformed staff, the cantonment area has a military hospital and a cantonment hospital for those living in the city. However, no medical kits were available at the hospitals until Tuesday. There have been requests from the cantonment ‘s civilian citizens to include the packages.
