Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was a warrior on all fronts of life – Dr. S. S. Uttarwar
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is regarded as a warrior king whose courage and chivalry enriched the Maratha Empire’s history and made him one of the region’s finest rulers.
Respectfully called Chhatrapati, Shivaji Maharaj was coronated on June 6, 1674, and began his reign over the Maratha Empire and began his rule that brought some of the most important wars. Shivaji Maharaj had built a royal reputation for himself in history by upholding the Swarajya principles and the Maratha heritage with his administrative abilities.
The Vidarbha Institute of Technology (VIT), with various special programs, had celebrated the birthday of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Dr. Sanjay, on this occasion. S. Uttarwar Director, VIT gave a lecture entitled “Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, a hero of all time.”
He shared his excellent leadership skills, his innovative military tactics, and explained how we could follow his principles to create a peaceful society as well. He also described the circumstances of the coronation of Shivaji Maharaj and began his reign over the Maratha Empire.
Dr. S. Uttarwar recounts the numerous thrilling incidences of Shivaji Maharaj’s history, such as the assassination of Afzal khan, now in Karnataka, who was Sardar from Aadilshahi of Vijapur. He has taken oath in Vijapur’s Darbar that within a few days he will defeat Shivaji and his army, and return with victory. Later he gets killed with Shivaji Maharaj in a close fight.
During energetic and action packed delivery from Dr. Uttarwar, Jam-packed audience was roaming in the Shivaji period.
One fascinating encounter he shared with the audience was Shahiste Khan, who was Sardar of Mughals and Mughal Emperor Aurangjeb’s close relative. Of huge war ammunitions and military, he came to Maharashtra to crush Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s Hindavi Swarajya. He does, too. He surrenders in front of Shivaji Maharaj and went back to Delhi.
During his motivational delivery, Dr. Uttarwar quotes and narrates various courageous incidences form the life span of Shivaji Maharaj, his education, his war training, and his upbringing since childhood. The role of his Mother Maharani Jijabai Bhosle was of utmost importance.
She was the driving force behind all of Shivaji Maharaj’s doings. She was also his tutor, guide, teacher, and companion. His presentation finished in a rejoicing and enthusiastic atmosphere.
