City Police all set for a color festival with the right bandobast
Ensuring peaceful Holi festival celebration the police finalized the city bandobast program. Approximately five Deputy Police Commissars, eight Assistant Police Commissars, 38 Police Inspectors, 203 Assistant Police Inspectors (APIs), 2023 male constables, and 292 female Police Constables would be deputy. The bandobast would be monitored by police commissioner Dr. Bhushan Kumar Updhayay and police joint commissar Ravindra Kadam.
The City Police have reported detaining or taking action against suspects in 2020. Additional Police Commissioner, Crime Branch and his team also keep tabs on criminals and are willing to strike if and when necessary to ensure celebrations are not marred by any incidents.
Each of the five police zones has a squad ready to deploy if any eventuality arises. Even DB squads of respective police stations in their respective jurisdiction keep watch and take action against illegal activities. Traffic control department has also drawn up a plan to ensure smooth traffic flow on comprehensive city fares. BDDS squads would also be used to carry out safety checks at critical city spots.
