Coronavirus: spirits shops, pubs, paan shops to be closed in Nagpur until 31 March
Nagpur updates: To prevent the spread of coronavirus, Nagpur District Collector ordered, on Wednesday, the closure of liquor shops, restaurants and paan shops with immediate effect until March 31.
“Liquor shops, restaurants, and paan shops will remain closed from today until March 31, to monitor coronavirus spread,” said Ravindra Thakre, District Collector, Nagpur.
That comes a day, after all, Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority (NMRDA) parks and gardens were shut down by the authorities until March 31.
Earlier the Maharashtra administration had ordered all tiger reserves, sanctuaries, and national parks to remain closed until the end of this month.
Maharashtra is the worst-hit state in the country with 38 novel coronavirus positive cases as of now. The state has confirmed one death from the illness so far.
Wednesday, the Ministry of Health said the number of positive coronavirus cases has risen to 151 including 25 foreign nationals.
