Electric Motors to Replace Diesel Engines Early in the Central Railway

Electric Engines was the safest choice for the Indian Railways. However, given the electrification in the Central Railway, Nagpur district, a wide range of diesel engines are still in use. The decision to replace all remaining diesel engines with immediate effect was taken at the recent meeting of the top officials of Nagpur’s Central Railway in the DRM office. This has been achieved as a result of the effect of fossil fuels on the climate.

It was days when steam engines were in use in most parts of the country, including the Central Railways, Nagpur, and soon they were replaced by diesel.
