Global Logic to provide local youth for career opportunities
Nagpur: Product Engineering Services (PES) business GlobalLogic, which has a unit in MIHAN-SEZ, plans to hire over 300 technicians from the city as part of its robust expansion plans in the 2020 calendar year. Neeru Mehta, Vice President, Learning & Development and Head of HR, India Region, who was in the city, told reporters that the Nagpur unit currently has 600 technicians employed and plans to take the number to 950. “Even with a conservative estimate, the number of fresh intakes will be about 800.
The company has 8,000 employees across the country, which will be taken over by nearly 10,000 during the calendar year, “she said. “The business, which has a large campus-based in the central building at MIHAN, is now planning to take up a larger area closer to the city as well. Recruitment will be done on a quarterly basis, Mehta said.
Global Logic has around 15,000 employees, including its international operations, and plans are underway to grow to close to 20,000, and the company is well on track to achieve another desirable achievement by becoming a billion-dollar business in the current year, she said.
Mehta said that recruitment will be largely made up of applicants with approximately 5 to 10 years of experience, which also means that the compensation packages would also be on the higher side and that there is a rigorous 12-week-training program for trainees chosen from the city’s prestigious institutes and colleges.
