Nagpurian demand for Chinese Rakhi to be boycotted this festive season

Nagpur:- As Rakhi’s festive season is all set to come next month, we are seeing the industry having the same items. One of the most famous products sold this season is the Rakhis. Most of these, however, come from the Chinese market, and were popular in the local market.

But with the recent announcement for a ban on Chinese goods in the country following the death of 20 brave Indian soldiers in the border region, the Nagpurians now want to boycott the Chinese rakhis.

The movement has been laughed at by the body called All India Traders Confederation (CAIT). It has come out to take the anti-Chinese feeling by calling on customers to say no to Chinese goods and accept Indian ones.

We have seen the China made Rakhis and other items popular in the city over the last few years. All items like Rakhi, pearls, foam, drops, decorative Thali and thread to name an afew are gaining popularity in the Indian market as stated in the Nagpur Live news.

Now, like Mr. B.C.Bhartia and Mr. Praveen Khandelwal who are the city’s National President & Secretary General of CAIT, we will ban Chinese goods on our market. They have emerged as a veiled blessing for the local economy, as they are available at low cost.

With the ban, local craftsmen and other labor will get a big sigh of relief and work. The advent of Chinese Rakhis had affected both the unqualified women to semi-skilled worker in the region. Thus the Nagpurians believe this festive time should be boycotted by Chinese Rakhis.
