IndianOil ranked one of the most valuable & strongest brands in the world
IndianOil has joined the prestigious Global 500 list of the world’s most successful and strongest brands across sectors for the year 2020. Brand Finance, the world’s leading independent brand valuation firm, announced the list at the World Economic Forum in Davos. There are only 11 Indian brands in this coveted list, and IndianOil is the only Indian brand in the oil & gas field to be listed there.
IndianOil was ranked 415th in the overall Global 500 list. In the global oil & gas sector, IndianOil has jumped 11 places to rank 23rd in the world’s top 50 most valuable oil & gas brands.
Brand Finance surveys are conducted in 29 countries, covering 10 key sectors. Brand Strength is measured against its rivals on the strength of the brand’s success in intangible measures. The Brand Strength Index consists of three factors: Advertising Investment, Stakeholder Interest and their impact on Business Performance.
Based on these factors, a Brand Strength Index (BSI) score of 100 is allocated to each brand, which feeds into the brand value calculation. Based on the ratings, a correct ranking is given to each brand. With an additional 33,000 staff, comprehensive refining, distribution and marketing infrastructure and advanced R&D facilities, IndianOil has provided energy access to millions of people across the country through its ever-expanding network of customer touchpoints, currently numbering more than 50,000.
