Lockdown in town, police urge people to empty public spaces in the midst of the scare of Coronavirus
Nagpur updates: With an increasing threat of novel coronavirus, Maharashtra police in Nagpur called on people to vacate public spaces on Friday. All private and corporate facilities in the city have been shut down except those that provide critical services.
Police, who were seen patrolling the streets, advised people to remain indoors until 31 March in an effort to avoid the spread of the deadly coronavirus.
Since the growing number of COVID-19 incidents, major cities in Maharashtra were locked down extensively. With more than 50 coronavirus cases, the state has become the worst hit in the world.
So far, four people have been screened positive for Nagpur coronavirus. It seems that the outbreak, which has caused countless people to work from home, has not been able to stop Nagpur police officers from appearing in their workplace.
On Friday, police in Nagpur vowed to combat the coronavirus before it stops. A photo of uniform officials in front of helmets “working out of the police station” was posted on Twitter by the police.
