Maharajbagh, Gorewada, take steps in the defense of animals
NAGPUR: The Maharashtra Zoo Authority (MZA) has advised all 13 zoos and animal shelters in the state to take top priority safety screening of the maintainers and the handlers of animal animals after a four-year-old tigress has been confirmed positive in the US in Bronx Zoo.
MZA worked to ensure that these zoos were operated by the Central Zoo Authority in compliance with all guidelines. On Tuesday Maharajbagh Zoo was inspected by Ravikiran Govekar, MZA member secretary. In the reserve of Maharashtra, there are 36 tigers, five lions, and 88 leopards.
Although the condition at state zoos is better despite the CZA Directives, we demanded that they all be sanitized and decontaminated and see animal husbandry tests for COVID-19.In Bronx zoo coronavirus transmitted by humans to the tiger
