The markets began only a week earlier and are now told to shut down as the city’s municipal authorities have sealed the market gate so that the virus does not spread in Nagpur.
With this change, the town is likely to face a problem with the development of plants as it is stopping traders, farmers and brokers from taking out the plants in the area. Apart from the above-mentioned areas, in Somwarpeth in the Hanuman Nagar Zone, the market of Budhwar Bazar will not function as it faces a crowd of vegetables. Speaking of the same matter, Mr Joshi Ram NMC Additional Commissioner told that Nagpur Police Commissioner Dr Bhushan Kumar Upadhyay had acted according to directions of the city council. This helps prevent the spread of the virus in the city through a successful lockdown. Earlier, Municipal Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe released the Cotton Market Closure Orders along with the adjacent complex because of overcrowding and failure to comply with the fundamental principle of social separation.
