Practice self-quarantine or face action with the citizens, ADDI Commissioner Bharne

Nagpur: While the administration and the city police ensure that every effort is made to break the transmission of the novel Corona Virus(Covid-19) among the Nagpurians, some quarantined people find themselves roaming around, visiting families and friends who pose a severe threat to others and accepting norms as granted.

But enough is enough, says Dr. Nilesh Bharne, Additional Commissioner (Crime) and that punishment would reward such obstinacy.

“To date, the town has about 500 quarantined workers on record. They were advised to self-quarantine for at least 14 days, to contain the outbreak of novel Corona Virus, for the benefit of themselves and the society.

We were amused to see the person wandering around, hanging out with family and friends, though. These actions poses danger not only to them but to society itself, “Bharne said.

“If any offenders of Covid-19 or self-quarantined workers find breaching the regulations laid down by the District Administration, they will be booked under section 188 of the IPC,” added Additional Commissioner.

The administration needs your support: Bharne urged citizens to contribute for their own good while the country faces the worst global epidemic.

“Those who were quarantined within the home also tested negative. They were kept under watch, however. We asked them to be in quarantine for 14 days to ensure there was no symptom.

Civic bodies track everyone who has been quarantined while the health of cops ensues. Even physicians are on call if home quarantined individuals need any support, guidance or advice, “he said, urging people to assist the administration.
