Sadar flyover to be completed in the first week of the new year
After a long wait of years, in the first week of the new year, the Sadar flyover is going on in full swing to start the traffic for the citizens. National Highway Authority official Swapnil Kaskar said that most of the flyover work from Mankapur and Purana Katol Naka Chowk to LIC Chowk has been completed. The contractor has been given time on December 28 to complete the remaining work at a rapid pace. Even though the claim is being made by the officer, but seeing the actual work remaining, the public is not convinced that the flyover will be ready in such a short time. As soon as the flyover work is completed, in the first week of the new year, this flyover will be opened and the new year gift will be given to the public. A total of 3.8 km flyover has been constructed for 218 crores.
The public does not trust
In the last few days, construction work is being seen fast. Gattoos are being installed at Liberty Chowk. During this time, traffic is not interrupted, so the traffic police are being deployed. The road above the flyover is being asphalted. If this speed had already been shown, the flyover would have been ready in a year and a half. It is worth noting that even though the administration has expedited the construction work, the local citizens are refusing to accept it. He says that even after showing speed in the construction work for a few days before this, the work starts again at a tortoise pace.
It’s not fog but dust
Sadhi resident Nidhi Naidu said that due to this construction work, dust is blowing in the premises in such a way that fog has spread. The citizens of the campus are facing a lot of trouble due to the dust from the construction work. Like Delhi, the pollution here is being spoiled. Not only this, no leaders are taking serious steps regarding the problems of citizens. Even after paying tax on time, people are being made ill by doing pollution in the name of basic amenities. Work has gained momentum recently, but how long will this pace last, it is difficult to say.
Encroachment and parking became a headache
Shubham Sarjane, a resident of Sadar, said that due to encroachment on the footpath, people do not even get a place to walk. The same situation is from the Coffee House to Gittikhadan Chowk Marg, where the garage owners have occupied more than half the road and set up shop. Even after taking action, the garage owners have regained the road. The encroachers have covered half the road to repair the vehicles. The same problem remains on both sides of this route. Due to the construction work of the metro from Gaddigodam Chowk to Indora Chowk and Sitabardi, people are already troubled by the situation of the jam. At the same time, encroachment has increased the problems of citizens. Pollution is increasing due to construction work wherever seen on the campus. Most citizens in the area are having trouble breathing due to dust.
