Smart City project, Nagpur clinched its top position again
Nagpur updates: With the continuous development of Nagpur city and the provision of various facilities to Nagpurians, the city known for its orange culture has once again proved to be a technologically developed, greenest and safest place to stay in Maharashtra state and thus a smart city ranked first in the state and second in the world.
Recently, the union government’s Ministry of Urban Development has given rankings to 100 cities in the country according to their development. Under the Smart City project, all the selected cities had their name in which Nagpur city has been in the top spot for the last six months. However, it declined to rank n second in the month of February compared to cities across the country, but it remained on the state’s first position.
Ahmedabad, Ranchi, Bhopal, Surat, Indore, Kanpur, Vishakhapatnam, Vellore, Baroda including Nagpur are the cities included in the top 10 list of being the Smartest in India.
New by nagpur updates the Smart City project took strides from installing CCTV cameras at 706 junctions, 140 wifi points provided in the city, multiple environmental sensors showing the region’s air quality index and now the current development plans such as Project Tender Sure for which 650 crore rupees will be used. The Smart City project is based in Bharatwada, Pardi, and Panapur, which is said to provide amenities for residents of 1,13 lakh.
Similarly, project Home Sweet Home is also on the verge of completion where a house will be given to 1024 families affected by other projects. Along with these other facilities will be provided such as solar power, green building, sewerage treatment plant, and rainwater harvesting.
