The Indian Railways will introduce a new Tejas Express train between Ahmedabad and Mumbai Central. The new Tejas Express will run six days a week, except on Thursdays. On its inaugural run on 17 January, Train No. 09426 Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central Tejas Express leaves Ahmedabad at 9:30 a.m. and reaches Mumbai Central at 4:00 p.m. Likewise, in the return direction, train No. 09425 Mumbai Central-Ahmedabad will depart from Mumbai Central at 17:15 and Ahmedabad will arrive at 23:30.

Train No. 82902 Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central Tejas Express will depart Ahmedabad at 06:40 hrs on its regular run from 19 January to reach Mumbai Central at 13:10 hrs. Train No. 82901 Mumbai Central-Ahmedabad Tejas Express (Except Thursday) will leave Mumbai Central at 15:40 hrs and Ahmedabad will arrive at 21:55 hrs. The Tejas Express will stop at Nadiad, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Vapi and Borivali stations in both directions.

The train leaves Ahmedabad at 6:40 a.m. and arrives at Nadiad at 7:19 a.m., Vadodara at 8:03 a.m., Bharuch at 8:56 a.m., Surat at 9:35 a.m., Vapi at 10:55 a.m., and Borivali at 12:31 a.m. before its departure at Mumbai Central at 01:30 p.m. On its return journey, the Tejas Express will depart Mumbai at 03.40 pm and stop at Borivali at 04.14pm, Vapi 05.37 pm, Surat at 06.47 pm, Bharuch at 07.29 pm, Vadodara at 08.18 pm, Nadiad at 09.03 pm and Ahmedabad at 09.55 pm.
