Tender released for Rooftop Solar Systems at 34 Nagpur Health Centres
The Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) has released a tender to build grid-connected rooftop solar PV power plants in 34 primary health centers in Nagpur, Maharashtra, using net metering.
For four hours each site will be equipped with an 8 kW rooftop solar system with full load battery back up. The total capacity to be developed under the tender will be 272 kW and the DPC, Nagpur fund, will be used.
The scope of work for selected developers will include developing, manufacturing, installing, testing, and commissioning grid-connected rooftop solar systems with a full-load battery backup of 4 hours (Hybrid) at all 34 selected primary health centers in the district.
The selected developers will have a period of 120 days from the date of issue of the work order to complete the work on the project’s installation. The developers will have to provide operation and maintenance services to the plants under a comprehensive maintenance contract for a period of 5 years from the date of successful commissioning, and they will also have to provide automotive services.
A pre-bid meeting to discuss the questions posed by prospective bidders was scheduled for 21 May 2020. The estimated cost of the entire project including the 5-year CMC is Rs 3,672 crore, and all bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 3,672 lakh along with their bids.
The bidder should have installed and commissioned 500 kW (single or cumulative) grid-connected rooftop net metering systems and 50 kW (single or cumulative) to be eligible for participation in the bidding process.
In addition, in the last three years, the bidders must have a cumulative turnover of minimum Rs 5 Crore.
MEDA recently released a similar tender to mandate grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic power plants under net metering in two sub-district hospitals and rooftop solar systems with full load battery back up at 10 rural hospitals in Maharashtra.
The tender’s total rooftop capacity is 283 kW, which was split between the 12 sites. The last bid date on this tender is May 11, 2020, and the techno-commercial bids will open on May 12, 2020.
