Two more MLC’s including Pravin Datke get MLA funds
Mumbai: The state government has recently approved a sum of Rs 90 lakh for the MLA fund of three newly appointed members of the Legislative Council. As per this directive, MLA fund of Rs 30 lakh each will be provided to Legislative Council member and Shiv Sena leader CM Uddhav Thackeray apart from BJP leaders Pravin Datke and Ranjitsinh Mohite Patil. On Tuesday, the planning department of the state government issued a mandate in this regard. For the first time, the MLA fund has been sanctioned to three members of the Legislative Council, including the Chief Minister.
Earlier, on 8 July, the government approved Rs 104 crore 2 lakh for a total of 349 members of both houses of the Legislature. In which 288 Legislative Assembly and 61 members of the Legislative Council were provided MLA funds of Rs 30 lakh each. The state government has made a provision of Rs 1101 crore for the MLA fund during the financial year 2020-21, which will be distributed in a phased manner.
