Vande flight:- Brings 145 more Moscow students
Nagpur:- Another Vande Bharat flight landed at Nagpur returning 145 students from Moscow, Russia’s capital city. There were 129 students from various parts of Maharashtra, 15 from Chhattisgarh and one from Madhya Pradesh among the 145 onboard. The flight touched down at 4:15am.
Sources said this is the fifth flight that landed in Nagpur, under the Vande Bharat series. Three flights from Moscow carrying medical students have landed in Nagpur, so far.
Parents of the Nagpur students studying in Moscow had contacted Prakash Gajbhiye, a member of the Nationalist Congress Party Legislative Council (MLC), seeking assistance. In turn, Gajbhiye took the matter up with chief minister Uddhav Thackeray and finally the central government accommodated these students on the flights to Vande Bharat.
Apart from that, two flights from Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan have reached Nagpur along with Chhattisgarh students and those from Maharashtra. More than 100 stranded Indians had chartered a private airline’s flight in Doha, the capital of Qatar, and reached Nagpur last week.
