2019: date and time to check voting counts: Maharashtra, Haryana election results

NEW DELHI: On 21 October, the elections were held for the Haryana and Maharashtra legislatures, and the results are due today, 24 October. This year, voting participation showed a decline. While the turnout of Maharashtra was 60,05% before 6 pm, down from 63,08% in 2014, Haryana scored 65%, down from 76,54% in the last election. The polls show the Bharatiya Janata Party or the BJP easy victory. The BJP-Shiv Sena coalition 211 of 288 state seats and the Congress-Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in Maharashtra received a total of different exit polls in 64 constituencies. In Haria, The BJP was expected to gain 66 seats out of 90 and Congress was expected to score 14.

The BJP may view its continued winning streak as a huge support for major decision-making in the two states, namely to end the special status of Jammu and Kashmir in accordance with Article 370.

Date of election outcome for the Haryana Assembly: 24 October, Thursday Date of election outcome to the Maharashtra assembly: 24 October, Thursday The balloting starts on 8 a.m. on Thursday and the election committee is expected to declare the results by 5 p.m. Most of the time, leads would forecast the results by 12 noon, but the voting is counted only by the night.
