NAGPUR: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis cast his vote in Nagpur, Maharashtra, on Monday, urging people to take part in the “Festival of Democracy.”
Mr Fadnavis, along with his wife and mother, went to a polling booth in Dharampeth, a school where all of them voted.
He appealed to people to show up in large numbers to take part in the “Democracy Festival.”
“We’re electing a government that fulfils our dreams and aspirations. It’s normal for us to have the government’s expectations, but those who vote have the first right to have those expectations,” he told reporters after casting a vote.
Devendra Fadnavis is seeking a fifth term as MLA in the electoral district of Nagpur South West Assembly. Throughout his election campaign, he expressed confidence that the BJP will maintain power in the state for the second term.
