Nagpur is almost very excited and gearing up its speed for the most awaited festival of the year Ganesh Chaturti. From many time many NGOs have been promoting and working on different ideas of Eco-friendly Lord Ganesha. By raising more awareness in people about the environment more and more people are joining and are ready to bring home Eco- friendly Ganesha. Making Lord Ganesha with more harmful colours and Plaster of Paris is very hazardous for the environment. There are different ideas for making an eco-friendly idol of Lord Ganesha and are as follows
• Tree Ganesha
This idol of Lord Ganesha are made of neem seeds inserted in four sizes 9,12,
15 and 18 inches. During immersion, you need to put idol in the pot with soil and

• Cowdung Ganesha
Ganesha idols made using natural clay, paper mache, cow dung, and wood.
The idols are painted with natural pigments such as turmeric, spinach, red
earth, and Multani maati. The idols can easily be immersed at homes in a bucket of water and are available in the sizes of 2.5 and 5.5 at very pocket-friendly prices.
• Paper Mache Ganesha
Idols of Lord Ganesha are made by using crushed papers and are also available
up to 15 inches. It gets dissolved easily in 30 minutes in water.
• Clay Ganesha
Idols are made from paper mache and clay Ganesha's. The idols are available
from 13 inches to two feet and are coloured in watercolours. The idols take 30
minutes to two hours to dissolve in water.
• Light Weight Paper Ganesha
Idol is made with paper and clay. Paper Ganesha is very strong there is wastage of paper after immersion paper can be dried out and can be sent for recycling. In order to protect water bodies of Nagpur most of the citizens are ready to
