Repair of 5,650 potholes caused by rain: NMC
NAGPUR: The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) claimed to have repaired 430 roads from 20 September to 16 October. The area offices repaired 3,482 potholes, while its hotmix department repaired 2,168 potholes. 379 potholes have yet to be repaired. The length of the repaired potholed roads is about 129.90 km, according to the data compiled by the civic body.
Taking stock of heavy rains at the end of August and the beginning of September that ruined many of the city’s roads, the NMC found 126 patches under the Hanuman Nagar area which created 595 potholes. It was followed by 123 stretches under the Dharampeth District, approximately 17.10 km wide. The Public Works Department of the Zone Office reported having repaired 566 potholes on these parts.
