Nagpur Police to Vikram Lander.

This time Nagpur City Police is going viral through the internet and this time for their adorable tweet on Isro spotting Vikram Moon Lander on the lunar surface. The official handle of Nagpur City Police, @NagpurPolice took to social media today to post their tweet which said, “Dear Vikram, Please respond. We are not going to challan you for breaking the signals! #VikramLanderFound #ISROSpotsVikram @isro #NagpurPolice. Isro (Indian Space Research Organisation) announced that they made a successful attempt after finding the lander Vikram in one piece on the lunar surface and after a hard-landing after knowing news finally this tweet has come. With these mission of Isro Chandrayaan-2,  the tweet also hilariously made a hilarious remark on the new Motor Vehicles Act. After it was posted, Nagpur Police’s tweet received a lot of love from the internet across the city.

One Twitter user wrote, “Nagpur Police. Yes, indeed, Hopes of 133 crore Indians attached to #Vikram. It’s truly an exception. And YOUR tweet is EXCEPTIONAL!” another wrote, “That’s a really sweet one. Vikram you can’t break so many hearts, you would not even know how many shed tears for you.” This tweet already had 5.5k retweets and 18k likes. Vikram, with rover ‘Pragyan’ housed inside it, hit the lunar surface after communications with the ground-stations were lost during its final descent, just 2.1 km above the lunar surface, in the early hours of Saturday. “It had a hard-landing very close to the planned (touch-down) site as per the images sent by the on-board camera of the orbiter. The lander is there as a single piece, not broken into pieces. It’s in a tilted position,” an Isro official associated with the mission claimed on Monday. “We are making all-out efforts to see whether communication can be re-established with the lander,” said Isro.

“Maha Trafficapp” Launched.

From February 8, 2019 ‘One State, One E-challan’ the ambitious project of Maharashtra state has been implemented in the city. State Police have launched ‘MahaTrafficapp’. With the help of this app, the vehicle owners can find out if e-challans have been issued to their vehicles and pay them. This app will be really useful for the citizens as well, it will assist citizens to upload the live image of traffic violations they spot, like helmetless riding or talking on the phone while driving, as well as report incidents disrupting traffic flow, like tree collapse and expect prompt action.

This new app will curb all old irregularities like now commuters tweet photographs and videos of traffic violations to Nagpur Police’s Twitter handle, and in some instances, police respond with details of the e-challan issued to the offenders. Not only for Android, but the ‘MahaTrafficapp’ has also been launched on IOS platforms. The citizens can download the app according to their cell phones and enrol their vehicle numbers. For any issues, citizens can register any complaint with a single click on Civilian reports. It contains all information regarding traffic alert, fines, traffic signs, road safety.

Gadkari on fine hike for traffic violation.

Union Minister, Nitin Gadkari on Saturday said the steep hike in traffic rules by stating that it was really needed to improve the situation on the roads. “Is money more important than life? It is the only fear which will actually make people follow the law, else they were taking it lightly till now. Close to 30 per cent driving licences in the country are fake, people were dying, that is why strict laws were made,” Gadkari said at an event.

He was attending a program on the completion of 100 years of the Dakshinamurti Swayamsevak Ganeshotsav Mandal. He also added, “With the change in the law there is a crowd in front of the Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) in all cities. Now people are getting their vehicles insured and are buying helmets. All of these will help in reducing the number of accidents on the roads”. He also said that the aim of the change in-laws was to protect the lives of people and for the safety of the people and fine collection is not the intention,” Gadkari said. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways had notified the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 2019 last month and from 1 September it was implemented in many states of India.

Soon a mobile app will be launched to solve the city’s traffic related issue by Nagpur’s Police.

Soon Nagpur traffic police will be launching an indigenous mobile app for the first
time to make the mobilization easy for motorists and path walkers. Traffic-related
problems of one city are already addressed by WhatsApp complaint number &
twitter handler from last few months. According to the cops, this app will help the
public to register instant complaints in case of any vehicle creates a traffic jam by
parking a vehicle in the non-parking area. It will be really resourceful information
provider to the motorists and to other public. In – house team of Nagpur’s Police
is developing this app for almost all operating systems. It is accepted to launch in
the coming two weeks. This app will be a user-friendly app and comprehensive for
citizen and police both. With the help of this app, people will get real-time
notification of traffic updates and alternative route. It will also show the details of
the towed away vehicle. It will also solve the vehicle parking problem. This app will solve
it totally. The app will solve it by showing the nearest parking spot for your
vehicle. The app will also have some additional information like real-time traffic
update, emergency number, details of traffic offences, penalties as well. Details
about traffic offences and penalty will also be available in this app If sometimes
you are caught by traffic police for any traffic offenses then you can check the
penalty for your offence before paying it. Along with the development of the app,
the police is also working simultaneously on their website and are trying to add more
updated features. As soon as the basic version of the app is launched, they will
update it with the more citizen-friendly feature.
